Click here--or on the video below-- and follow along to learn how to make your own Chatty Monster Hand Puppet! You can make a monster like the example OR transform your puppet into any creature you'd like by decorating it differently! Be Creative! Younger kids might need some help with cutting and assembly. Once your puppet is done try using it to tell a story or some funny jokes to make someone laugh!
**If you don't have construction paper, you can still make a Chatty Hand puppet, just use markers and or crayons to color directly on the cereal box to decorate it instead of covering it with paper! And any scrap paper from the recycle bin can be used to make the arms and legs.

2 full sheets of 9"x12" construction paper (any color!)
A small scrap of red paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Marker String/Yarn (at least 3 feet long)
Ruler
Pencil
Click here--or on the video below-- to learn how to make your own snake string puppet that can wiggle and slither and hop! Younger kids may need some help measuring with the ruler and/or cutting out the paper strips. Hope you have fun making this funny snake!
Want to make another puppet using the same folded paper technique? Here are some other ideas you could try: Add some paper wings to make your snake into a flying dragon or give it legs and antennae to turn it into a caterpillar!
**If you don't have full sheets of construction paper, try making the snake using any scrap paper you can find around the house! The paper strips we cut were 1.5" wide and 9" long- but yours can be a bit bigger or smaller, as long as your strips are all the same size it should work!
